Hot take: I chose a loft bed over a sofa for my 300 sq ft studio
Everyone told me I was crazy to put a twin loft bed in my apartment instead of a pull-out sofa. But after 6 months here in Austin, I stand by it. The space underneath holds my desk, a small dining table, and even a bookshelf. I have room to actually move around during the day instead of tripping over a couch. Yeah, climbing a ladder at midnight to pee is annoying sometimes. But having that open floor space makes the place feel twice as big. Anyone else ditch traditional furniture for something more efficient?
