Did you ask her about the wall mounting? That's the secret sauce right there. The whole frame needs to be bolted into studs, not just sitting there. I had a friend whose Murphy bed fell off the wall at 3am because they used cheap drywall anchors. Spend the extra hour to find the studs and use lag bolts. Makes a huge difference for stability in a small space.

Friend of mine from the old neighborhood tried to save time on a Murphy bed install. @graceprice you are dead on about the studs. He figured toggle bolts would hold since his walls were thick plaster. Woke up at 2am to a crash that sounded like a car hit the house. Bed came down right on his TV stand, destroyed a 55 inch TV and put a hole in the floor. Insurance didn't cover it because they said it was improper installation. He spent more on the repair than he would have just doing it right the first time. Lag bolts into studs and don't cut corners.
