Pro tip: I sold my old iPhone 8 for $150 on this forum instead of trading it in for $30

Last month I was about to trade in my old iPhone 8 at the carrier store because they offered $30. Then I saw a guy in line behind me grumble about how he sold his old phone here for five times that amount. So I listed it on this forum for $150 and it sold in two days. Has anyone else found that selling here gets way better money than those trade-in deals?

and honestly the real problem is people are still buying them at that price. if nobody paid $150 for a 5 year old phone the market would fix itself overnight. but here we are, still acting like an iPhone 8 is worth more than a budget android from last year.
