Rant: stop using duct tape for everything in your house
I keep seeing posts about people fixing broken pipes or loose vents with duct tape. That stuff is not for plumbing or HVAC work. It dries out and peels off after a few months. I work nights and came home to a flooded laundry room last week because a neighbor used duct tape on a pipe joint. Use proper repair tape or call a plumber. Anyone else seen duct tape fail in a bad spot?

Honestly I was that person slapping duct tape on everything until my dryer vent tape job caught fire last year. Your rant just made me realize how dumb I was being.
