I finally looked up how much I spent on caulking and sealants last year

I was cleaning out my garage this afternoon and found like 8 half used tubes of caulk from different projects. Decided to add up what I spent on all that stuff in 2024. Turns out I dropped almost $140 on caulking and weatherstripping alone. That's insane for something that costs $4 a tube. Has anyone else ever tracked what they spend on little consumables like this and had a shock?

Honestly think of it as cheap insurance against drafts and water damage.

Right? That's exactly how I see it. Put some on a few months back and it's already saved me hassle with a leaky corner.
