Switched from a big SEO agency to a small 3-person team and saw real results in 8 weeks
I was paying $2,500 a month to a big agency and my traffic barely moved after 6 months. They kept sending me these fancy reports with charts but nothing actually changed. So I took a chance on a boutique agency with like 3 people. They actually answered my emails within an hour and got me featured in 2 niche blogs within a month. My organic traffic went up 40% after 8 weeks. Anyone else had way better luck with small teams?

Did you have to fight that gut feeling that $2,500 was too cheap for a big agency and too much for a tiny team? I switched to a one-man operation for my lawn care after the big lawn service kept mowing my sprinkler heads off, and he actually listened when I told him where they were.

Honestly though, a one-man operation who actually listens to where the sprinkler heads are sounds way better than a big crew that doesn't care. I went with a smaller team for my landscaping and it's been the same guy every time, he remembers everything I told him from day one. That personal touch is hard to beat even if the price felt a little weird at first.

Did you ever talk to the guy about his other clients before deciding? A buddy of mine tried a one-man design shop for a website rebuild and it ended up taking 4 months because the dude kept getting sick and then disappearing to handle his kids' school stuff. I'm with you @graceprice on that trade-off, but I've seen the flip side where the solo person has zero backup plan and you're stuck waiting on them to remember your sprinkler heads.
