I'm done guessing what to cook with random leftovers.

Last week I opened my fridge and saw half a jar of pesto, a sad bell pepper, and some feta that was about to expire. Instead of scrolling for 20 minutes I just threw it all in a bowl with pasta and called it dinner. It actually tasted great and I saved 30 bucks not ordering takeout. Three years ago I would have tossed that stuff and ordered pizza instead. Why do we overthink cooking so much when the answer is right in our fridge? Anyone else just start combining random stuff and praying it works?

Always the best meals come from scraping the fridge clean.

And honestly that's how you end up with the most creative stuff too. I've thrown together some weird combos that shouldn't work but ended up being legit good. Like leftover roasted veggies with a fried egg on top and a drizzle of whatever sauce is in the door. You start tasting things as you go and just adjust. It's never gonna be a five star meal but it hits different when you know you saved stuff from going bad. Plus it feels like you beat the system somehow.

That's me but instead of a meal it's usually just leftover takeout containers.
