Had to pick between making soup or stir fry from my sad fridge contents last night
I had some limp broccoli, half a bag of baby carrots, and some chicken thighs that were about to turn. I stared at it for like 10 minutes trying to decide. I ended up going with the stir fry because I had a bottle of soy sauce and some ginger root from two weeks ago. Honestly it turned out great, crispy edges on the chicken and the veggies still had some crunch. What do you do when you only have a few fresh veggies and no clear meal plan?

Threw some sad broccoli and leftover rice in a pan once, called it dinner.

Man, that reminds me of my buddy Dave. He had a half-empty fridge and made a killer soup out of some sad celery, old onions, and leftover rotisserie chicken bones. Said it was the best thing he'd made in months, just boiled everything with salt and pepper.
