Spent 3 hours trying to fix a client's logo file before realizing it was a screenshot

Took me until 2 AM to figure out they'd sent me a .jpg screengrab instead of an actual vector file, has anyone else wasted a whole evening on something that dumb?

Idk, sometimes clients just don't know the difference.

But isn't it kinda our job to check the file type first?

People get so defensive when you point out they sent a low-res jpg too, like just admit you took a screenshot and save us both 3 hours. It's wild how often "doing it fast" means someone else has to do it again later.
