Overheard a guy at a co-working space in Austin say freelancers who charge by the hour are idiots
He's right. I switched to flat project rates six months ago and my income jumped 40% without working more hours. Anybody else make the switch and see a real difference?

Yeah, flat rate pushes you to work smarter instead of just slower.

Right? Flat rate is the way to go. @adam_nguyen7 nailed it, I saw a huge bump in my income after switching too.
