My main client's payment system went down for a full week in March
It was a huge company in Seattle and their whole invoicing portal crashed, so my invoice just sat there. I had to call three different people and finally got a check mailed, but it took 22 days total. Has anyone else had a big client's internal mess delay your pay that badly?

Ever get the feeling their whole finance department is run by one intern and a hamster on a wheel? Sean_foster99 is right, the mess is real. I once had a Fortune 500 client lose my contract in their own system, then argue I never signed one. Their "fix" was to make me sign the same PDF three separate times over a month while my project work piled up. The bigger the company, the more layers of pure chaos you have to dig through just to get what you're owed.
