Just realized my cheap project management app was costing me clients

Spent $15 a month on a basic task tracker for a year. Missed a deadline because the reminders failed. Lost a $2,000 website job. Switched to a better one, costs $30 now, but it actually works. Anyone have a good system for double-checking deadlines?

Honestly that $15 app was probably fine. My friend runs a whole design shop on a free spreadsheet. The real issue is relying on any single tool to remember deadlines for you. You gotta check things yourself.
