Spent $400 on a used walk-in cooler and it saved my wedding season
I found it on a local marketplace last spring, a 6x8 unit from a closing deli. I was worried it would be a money pit, but it let me prep three big wedding orders at once without my home fridge overflowing. Has anyone else bought used equipment that really paid off?

The hidden win with used gear is the mental space it buys you. Not having to play fridge tetris with wedding cakes lets you focus on the actual work. That kind of stress reduction is hard to put a price on, but it shows up in the quality of what you make. My old bakery rack was a similar game changer just by clearing the floor. It stops feeling like a gamble once it gives you back that kind of focus.

That walk-in is a huge piece of gear for a home setup. I get the stress thing, but it's still a used cooler from a deli. The repair bill when the compressor goes could wipe out a whole wedding's profit. It just seems like a big risk to take when your business depends on it working perfectly every weekend.
