My neighborhood's fermenting co-op is splitting over sanitation standards.
Half the group insists on strict cleaning, while the other half thinks it's overkill. How do you handle this?

Honestly, my last fermentation club had the exact same fight. We ended up voting on a basic checklist for cleaning jars and tools before every use. Tbh, having everyone agree on the rules upfront stopped most of the arguing. We also started doing a quick inspection together at the start of meetings, which kept things fair.

Wait you actually did inspections at the start of meetings? That's next level group management. @wadereed is right about voting on standards, but turning it into a whole check-up feels so formal for a hobby club. Kind of amazing it worked though, gotta give credit for that.
