Visited a Habitat ReStore and found $3 drawer slides that work better than the $12 ones at Home Depot

I stopped by the Habitat ReStore in Portland last Saturday to look for some cheap lumber. Ended up finding a box of full-extension drawer slides for $3 a pair. They were still in the original packaging, brand new. I installed them on a kitchen cabinet this afternoon and they slide way smoother than the expensive ones I bought last month. Anyone else have good luck with hardware from ReStore?

Ngl, that thing about the ball bearings missing reminds me of a pattern I've noticed. It's like how you can buy a pack of screws from the discount bin and half of them are stripped, but then you find a random drawer pull at a garage sale that's built way better than anything at the big box store. It's like the universe just throws you good deals when you're not looking for them, but you gotta be willing to check the little things.

Those full extension slides are usually the first thing to go at my local ReStore. Were they ball bearing slides or the standard wheel kind? I grabbed some a while back that looked perfect but one of the ball bearings was missing in each pair mostly. Still worth it for my garage cabinets but wouldn't trust them for a kitchen again.
