Spent 4 hours hanging drywall solo and it was a disaster

Tried to hang a 4x8 sheet of drywall in my garage alone last Saturday. The thing cracked right down the middle when I tried to lift it into place. Any tips for handling big sheets by yourself without breaking them?

Last time I tried that I ended up using a ratchet strap to hold it against my ladder while I got the screws in... still took forever and I dropped two sheets before figuring it out. Drywall is just a cruel joke on solo workers honestly.

Yeah and the worst part is the dust gets in your hair and you find it three days later.
