PSA: Stop cutting crown molding with the wrong bevel setting like I did for 5 years
I finally figured out I was setting my miter saw wrong for inside corners... turned out I needed a 45 degree bevel plus a 45 degree miter, not just the miter. A carpenter in Springfield pointed it out after I showed him my gap-filled trim job. Who else learned a basic trim trick the hard way?

My buddy did the same thing on his baseboards and ended up patching the gaps with caulk for two years.

Caulk is actually the smart move there if you ask me. It flexes with the house settling and doesn't crack like wood filler will after a season or two. Guy probably saved himself a headache in the long run lol.
