My ceiling fan was shaking like crazy until I tightened the blades.

I checked online and saw that loose screws were the common cause. A few turns with a screwdriver and it's steady now!

My buddy had the same thing last month. His fan wobbled so bad it sounded like a helicopter. A quick tighten of those blade screws fixed the whole vibration.

Tighten the blade screws first, that quieted my fan right down.
