Just hit 100 linear feet of baseboard trim in my own house

I was cleaning up after finishing the living room and added up all the cuts. It was 102 feet total, which is way more than I thought I'd ever do myself. That's like the length of three school buses, all hand measured and cut with my DeWalt miter saw. Has anyone else been shocked by how much material a simple trim job actually uses?

Hang on, is it really that deep though? I mean, @adam_hernandez says he wastes more than he uses, but maybe he's just bad at measuring?

Honestly I used to think trim was no big deal until I saw @adam_hernandez's point about waste.

My last trim project wasted more wood than I actually installed.
