I used to hate painting trim, but a $10 angled brush changed my mind

For years I'd just tape everything off and use a regular brush, and it always looked messy. Then I watched a YouTube video by a painter in Nashville who swore by a 2.5 inch angled sash brush. I grabbed one at the hardware store for $10, and my last door frame came out so clean I didn't need any touch-ups. Has anyone else had a simple switch like this that completely changed how you do a project?

My $2.99 foam brush gives me perfect lines every time with zero cleanup.

Just yesterday I spent 8 bucks on a "premium" brush for a tiny touch-up job and the lines came out all wavy. It's funny how the cheapest tools often work the best because there's less pressure to make them complicated. Maybe we overthink painting gear when a simple foam brush just does the job without the fuss.
