Hot take: That guy at Home Depot who told me to use plumbing tape on gas fittings was dead wrong.
He insisted Teflon tape works on everything, then I found out the hard way it can clog up gas valves. Anyone else run into an employee giving confidently bad advice at a big box store?

Wait, so you're saying a leak in the system isn't a big deal? What happened with yours - was it a tiny drip or something bigger?
