Vent: my 5 star rating system was actually a 3 star for 6 months

I rate everything I watch out of 5, movies, shows, even a couple of games. Last month I did a rewatch of a show I gave a 4.5 and realized it was way better than something else I'd also given a 4.5. So I went back through my notebook, I keep a little binder with all my scores, and found that I'd been accidentally using a 3 star base the whole time. My '5' was actually a '4', my '4' was a '3', everything was shifted one notch down. What tipped me off was comparing my score for a random cooking show to a buddy's rating and he asked why I was so harsh on it. I felt like such a dope, all those reviews I posted on here with my little star icons were all off. Has anyone else had a system glitch like this or am I just the only one who needs to double check their math?
