The $12 thrift store DVD player that survived my toddler

Picked up a beat-up DVD player for $12 at a garage sale in Columbus, and my 2 year old has dropped it, thrown it, and poured juice on it, yet it still plays my old Scrubs discs perfectly. My $300 streaming stick died after one tumble off the couch, so has anyone else found a cheap media player that outlasts the fancy ones?

That thing is basically indestructible because it knows its place. The fancy streaming stick probably died from shame after realizing it costs 25 times more and does way less. Toddlers are basically chaos agents sent to test the true value of electronics, and that DVD player just passed with flying colors. Now if you could just get it to play something other than Scrubs on repeat, you'd really have a winner.
