My brother's take on synthwave made me drop 30 albums from my rotation
He said it all sounds like the same three chords with a drum machine and honestly, I couldn't unhear it after that. Now I'm stuck looking for stuff with actual melody, anyone else have a genre that got ruined by one blunt comment?

Those 30 albums you dropped, were they mostly pre-2010 stuff, or newer bands trying to copy it?
