I spent 8 years watching movies on the wrong TV settings
Finally figured out my TV had been on 'vivid' mode since I bought it back in 2016. Went to Best Buy last month and saw the same model with normal settings, realized my colors were all blown out and fake. Checked my settings after that and everything looked totally different. Anyone else ever had that moment where you fix one thing and suddenly all your old movies feel like you're seeing them for the first time?

Man wait, did you actually not notice for 8 years or did you just think that's how movies were supposed to look? Like I get that vivid mode is bright and punchy but after a while don't your eyes start to hurt? I switched my TV to cinema mode last year and honestly the biggest change I noticed was with dark scenes. Used to watch horror movies and everything was either pitch black or glowing blue with no in between. Now I can actually see what's happening in the shadows. What movie was the biggest "whoa" moment for you after you fixed it?
