Can we talk about that old 3 star movie I skipped for years

I kept seeing Moon on streaming services and always passed it up. The cover looked like a slow space drama and the 2009 release date felt dated. Finally gave it a shot last weekend because a friend kept pushing me. That twist about Sam Bell's clones hit me hard and now I get why people call it a hidden gem. Anyone else have a movie they slept on for way too long?

Call it a hidden gem? I watched Moon when it came out and thought it was just okay. The twist is pretty obvious if you've seen any sci fi from before 2009, and the whole thing drags in the middle. Sam Rockwell does a fine job, sure, but the movie leans way too hard on that one idea and doesn't do much else.

3 hours into the runtime I was still waiting for something to happen besides Rockwell talking to himself. The twist might have felt fresh in 2009 but now it just feels like a watered down version of better sci fi concepts. I get why some people like it but it really didn't do much for me.
