A damp brush and primer help the shadow stick without patches.

Seriously? The damp brush trick never worked for me. I used a slightly wet brush and my eyeshadow ended up looking like a muddy river. Primer just made it cake up in the crease. Maybe my eyelids are just built different.

I have the same problem with damp brushes. They just smear the eyeshadow and make it look bad. Not every beauty tip works for everyone.

Notice how a lot of life advice is just like that damp brush trick, pushed as a universal fix. People swear by waking up at 5am or drinking celery juice, but it just doesn't work for some bodies or lives. It makes you feel like you're failing at a basic step when really the advice was just too simple. We all have different skin, schedules, and eyelids lol.
