That client who taught me more in 20 minutes than my whole training

I had a new client come in with bleached hair that was basically straw, and she kept apologizing like it was her fault. Turns out she'd been using dish soap to strip buildup because a friend told her it was a cheap hack. I spent 20 minutes explaining protein vs. moisture balance and showed her how to do a strand test at home. She came back six weeks later with healthier hair than some of my regulars, and she still sends me pics every month. It reminded me how much damage bad advice can do when people are just trying to save a buck. Anyone else have a client who schooled you on what not to do?
