That $60 'magic' scalp scrubber I bought off Instagram actually fixed my dandruff after 3 days, and I feel kinda silly for laughing at it initially.

I was so sure it was just a gimmicky plastic thing (like those jade rollers everyone had), but after using it with my regular shampoo in a Portland salon last week, my client even asked what I changed because her flakes were totally gone, has anyone else had a cheap tool surprise them like this?

$60 for a scalp scrubber?? Girl I thought you were gonna say $12 at Target or something. I literally just spent that on a pair of jeans at Goodwill and I'm still mad about it. But okay I gotta admit you got my attention with the "3 days" thing because I've been fighting dry flakes forever with those prescription shampoos that smell like a chemistry lab. I almost bought one of those vibrating face scrubbers a few years ago and my friend talked me out of it, said it was just a fancy egg beater for your pores. Now I'm kinda wondering if I missed out.

You actually tried one of those vibrating face things though @diana_king?

Your friend was half right about the face scrubber. The cheap ones under $20 are basically glorified back massagers for your face. But the good ones actually vibrate at specific frequencies that help products absorb better, it's not just about scrubbing. That said, $60 for a scalp scrubber is steep. Check TJ Maxx or Marshalls first, I've seen name brand scalp massagers there for like $15. The silicone bristles are what actually make the difference for flakes since they're gentler than plastic ones.
