Rant: Stop layering toner on dry hair and expecting a miracle
I keep seeing stylists in Minneapolis grab a toner brush while the hair is bone dry, then wonder why the color comes out patchy or dull. Toner is not a magic eraser, it needs some moisture or at least a proper application window to grab evenly. I've done 3 corrective sessions this month alone fixing this exact mistake, and each one took twice as long as doing it right the first time. If you're not starting with a clean, damp base or following the manufacturer's timing, you're just guessing. How are we supposed to charge for precision work when we skip the basics? Has anyone else had to redo a toner job that should've been one pass?
