I finally had a perfect perm day after 8 years of doing hair
Last Wednesday at Shear Elegance in Portland. Every single perm came out exactly right. No frizz, no over processing, no complaints. Three clients back to back. Two spiral perms and one root perm. Usually I get at least one that's too tight or the curls drop weird. One lady even hugged me. Said her hair never looked this good since the 80s. Has anyone else had one of those magic days where everything clicks?

Honestly, is getting three perms right really that big of a deal?

Last month I had to redo my whole perm routine after the first two came out looking like a poodle mess. The trick for me was timing the second and third perms at least 10 days apart and using a deep conditioning mask in between, otherwise your hair just snaps. Did you wait long enough between sessions or try to stack them close together?
