She said it straight too, 'I can see where each foil started,' and now I take half as many but weave them diagonal instead of horizontal.

Diagonal weaving makes sense for breaking up the line, but I'm curious how you handle the crown area with a slice pattern. When I switched from horizontal to diagonal years back, the top section near the part kept showing a faint band if I didn't alternate the direction of the slice on each side. Are you going back and forth on the direction, or keeping it all one way? And do you drop the slice angle steeper toward the face, or keep it consistent front to back? The reason I ask is I had a client with fine hair who still saw lines until I started taking smaller subsections within the slice instead of one big weave. Half as many foils sounds great for timing, but I'd worry about coverage on the sides if the sections get too wide.
