Why doesn't anyone talk about RAM slot corrosion on old boards?
I was diagnosing a Dell OptiPlex last Tuesday that kept failing POST with 3 beeps. Turns out the DIMM slots had green crust on the contacts from years in a damp garage, and a light scrub with isopropyl and a toothbrush fixed it in 10 minutes. Has anyone else fixed weird memory errors this way, or do you just trash the board?

My Dell did the same thing last year, saved it with a toothbrush too!
