Showerthought: I thought I knew everything about dust until that one job in a pottery studio
Got a call to fix a slow computer at a local artist's workshop. Opened the case and it was packed with this fine, gritty clay dust, like nothing I'd ever seen. Took me over an hour to clean it all out with my Datavac and isopropyl, way longer than a normal dust job. Now I always ask clients upfront if they work with any powders or ceramics. Anyone else run into a weird dust type that messed up your usual cleaning routine?

You ever seen the inside of a computer after a year of flour dust? Buddy of mine bakes bread for a living and his PC looked like a tiny snow globe had exploded in there. That fine stuff gets into everything, case fans were spinning like they were stuck in molasses.

Oh man, clay dust is the worst! I had a similar shock with concrete dust from a guy who did home remodeling. That stuff gets into every tiny space and it's so heavy it just cakes onto the fans. I was blowing it out forever and still found little gray piles in the corners of the case. It totally gums up the works way more than pet hair or regular house dust.
