Replacing a laptop screen made me rethink my whole repair process
Last Tuesday I swapped a cracked panel on a Dell Latitude and the customer asked why I didn't just quote them a new machine. I told them parts alone are $85 for that panel, but it forced me to think about how often I recommend repairs over replacements. Do you guys factor in labor time vs. just selling them a refurb, or is it always worth saving the machine if the rest is solid?
