Just switched from a magnetic mat to a silicone one for my bench

I was getting tired of tiny screws rolling off the magnetic mat onto the floor. A friend in Denver said he uses a thick silicone sheet that grips parts instead. I tried it on a ThinkPad T14 teardown yesterday and it worked great, nothing moved. Has anyone else made this switch and noticed a difference with really small components?

Yeah, I switched last year and it's way better for tiny parts.

Wait, you switched LAST YEAR? That feels like forever ago lol. I just got mine like three months back and thought I was late to the party. What were you even using before for those little screws and springs? My old one would just launch them into another dimension.
