I finally bought that $60 cable tester off Amazon and it caught a bad crimp on a Cat6 run yesterday

Spent $60 on a Klein Tools scout pro 3 tester and it found a split pair on a 50 foot drop I would have missed, has anyone else had cheap testers give false passes?

Honestly, isn't it funny how the expensive tool catches the thing you were sure was fine, but the cheap one would've let you move on with a bad connection? It's like that with a lot of stuff, you pay for the peace of mind that you didn't mess up and have to redo it all later. I'd rather drop the cash once than waste an afternoon chasing a ghost.
