Heard a customer say "it's just software" and it made me think
Had a lady bring in her laptop yesterday complaining it was slow, and she said "it's just software, shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes." She had 47 startup programs running and a drive at 2% free space. Made me realize how much we take for granted knowing what's actually going on under the hood. Anyone else ever have a client totally underestimate the time something takes?

Happens way more than it should. People tend to assume anything they can't physically see is simple, like invisible work doesn't count as real effort. Your mileage may vary, but I've noticed that pattern applies to more than just tech - it shows up in cooking, cleaning, and pretty much anything that happens behind the scenes.
