That moment I realized my 2 year degree in drafting was never gonna land me in architecture

I was just a CAD monkey drawing fence layouts for three years in a little shop outside Akron, and then I visited an actual architect's office last Tuesday for a site meeting. The difference between what I do and what they do isn't just skill it's a whole different world of credentials and liability. Has anyone else had that gut check when you see the ceiling of your current path vs what you thought you were working toward?

Wait hold on, you were cranking out fence layouts for three years? Like literal fences? I thought I misread that. That's wild.

Haha yeah @the_oscar, literal fences for three years straight. Wild is one word for it.
