My worst Monday in the office ended with a surprise project win

Last Monday was a disaster, I spilled coffee on my presentation notes and then my laptop died mid-meeting in front of our client in Dallas. I thought the whole thing was over, but then my manager asked me to lead the follow-up call on Friday. Turns out the client liked how I handled the chaos and wanted my ideas on their training program. Has anyone else had a rough day turn into a career break like that?

Dallas is exactly the kind of client who'll remember the chaos, not the recovery, so good luck getting that follow-up meeting to actually matter when they've already seen you fumble the first one. Bosses love a sob story with a happy ending, but that's just luck, not a career move.
