Update: the $14 dollar store icing spatula outperformed my $30 one

I picked up a cheap angled spatula at the dollar store on a whim, mostly because my good one was dirty and I was in a rush on a Saturday morning. The cheap one spread buttercream smoother than my $30 one ever has, and I have used it for a solid three weeks now with zero rust or bending. The expensive one was already showing a gap where the blade meets the handle after just a few batches. I keep waiting for the cheap one to fall apart but it just keeps working. Has anyone else found a dirt cheap tool that beat out the pricey version?
