Spent $40 on a digital scale that measures in grams and it fixed my cookie problem

My chocolate chip cookies kept coming out flat or too puffy, never right. I was using cup measures for flour, which is super messy and not exact. I got a small digital scale for about forty bucks that shows grams. Now I weigh everything, and my cookies are the same every single time. It took the guesswork out of baking. Has anyone else switched to weighing ingredients and seen a big change?

Honestly, the scale thing made me realize how bad I was at eyeballing stuff. I tried making my grandma's pancake recipe from memory last month and they tasted like salty rubber. Turns out I was dumping in a whole extra teaspoon of salt without even knowing, just because her old "pinch" and my pinch were totally different. It's wild how much those little bits add up.

Switched to a scale and my bread finally stopped being a brick.

Switched to a scale years ago and never looked back. My biscuits went from tough hockey pucks to light and flaky overnight. It stops you from packing flour into a cup, which can add way too much. That little number on the screen doesn't lie, so your hands stop being the problem.
