Picked up a $13 bench scraper at a garage sale and it totally changed my dough handling

I was visiting my sister in Portland last weekend and stumbled on this scratched-up bench scraper for $13 at a random garage sale. Used it to cut and lift a sticky brioche dough and suddenly my counter wasn't a disaster zone. Anyone else find a cheap tool that made a bigger difference than their expensive gear?

Scrapers don't do anything a good knife can't do for free.

Made the mistake of bragging to my wife that I could strip a whole door with just my trusty pocket knife. She handed me a scraper and said "show me." My knuckles still haven't forgiven me for that one.

Oh PLEASE, @rileyl98. Tell that to my knuckles after a full day of scraping paint with a dull knife. But yeah, totally the same thing.
