Our 20 year old stand mixer finally gave out mid batch on a Saturday morning

The gearbox went on our Hobart N50 during a double batch of rye, right as the farmer's market order was due in two hours. I finished the dough by hand like I did when I first started at 19, and honestly my forearms remembered the rhythm better than I expected. Anyone else have an old workhorse die on them, and did you fix it or finally upgrade?
