Why does nobody talk about how bad the new FAA wiring diagrams are?

I was working on a G1000 install last week and the updated manual had these weird, over-simplified flow charts instead of the old pin-out sheets. It took me an extra three hours just to trace a single CAN bus line because the new format hides the actual wire numbers. I know they want to make it 'easier' but it's just making simple jobs take way longer. Has anyone else had to deal with this on the newer Garmin stuff?

Oh man, the new flow charts are a nightmare. Got burned on a G1000 NXi last month where they buried the pin assignments in a separate appendix. Took me forever to cross-reference stuff. Best thing I figured out is to print out the old style reference sheet from the previous revision if you still have it on file. Also check the Garmin dealer portal for the full wiring manuals instead of the simplified summary, those still have the old numbers. Just have to dig a little deeper in the menu tree to find them.

Tell me about it. Had the same headache with a GTN install last month. Feels like they fixed something that wasn't broken.
