Wasted $200 on a bad coax crimper from Amazon last month
The dies didn't even line up right on RG400, stripped three connectors before I tossed it in the trash has anyone else had luck with any of the cheap crimpers out there?

I grabbed a Paladin Tools crimper from a local ham fest for $30 and it’s been solid for two years now. The dies click into place perfect for RG400 and LMR240, no wobble or half-crimps like that Amazon junk. I stripped maybe one connector learning, but after that every crimp came out clean and tight. It’s not fancy, just metal and a ratchet handle, but it gets the job done without ruining connectors or my wallet.

Used to think any brand was fine but this changed my mind.

Heard the same thing from my buddy after his third pair fell apart in two months.
