Walked into the museum at Paine Field and counted 3 fake switches on a cockpit mockup
Took my kid to the aviation museum up in Everett last Saturday and they had an open cockpit mockup you could sit in. I leaned over to look at the overhead panel out of habit and spotted three toggle switches that were just molded plastic, no wires, nothing behind them. Even funnier, the label maker tape on one said "AUX PITOT" in Comic Sans. I get it's a display piece, but half the kids there were flipping them like they were flying the real thing. Anyone else catch stuff like this at air museums and have to bite their tongue?
