Vent: Bought a 'calibrated' test set from an online auction for $800 and it was completely out of spec

Spent a whole day troubleshooting a good unit before I realized the test gear itself was the problem. Anyone have a reliable source for used bench equipment that's actually been verified?

Yeah, calling it a "waste of a day" hits hard. I read this article about how our brains actually need that kind of dead time to process stuff, even if it feels totally useless in the moment. It said forcing constant productivity can backfire big time. So maybe a brutal day isn't always a total loss, it's just your brain doing cleanup. Still feels awful when you're living through it though.
