PSA: check your connector pins after a wash, I learned that one the hard way on a King Air 200 last Tuesday
So I spent about 5 hours chasing an intermittent AHRS fault on a King Air 200 at our hangar in Wichita, and I was pulling my hair out. The thing would only act up when we did a full power run, never on the ramp, never in the bay, just enough to look like a ghost. I reseated the LRU twice, swapped it with a known good one, even rang out the harness end to end and it tested fine every single time. Turns out one pin in the J1 connector had a tiny bit of green corrosion from a wash rack job somebody did a month back, and it only lost contact when the airframe flexed under load. Took me a dental pick, some contact cleaner, and about 10 minutes to fix once I actually found it. I felt like a total idiot for not pulling the connector apart on day one instead of trusting the continuity check. Anybody else got a go to trick for catching stuff that only shows up under vibration? I am all ears because I burned a whole shift on this.
