Pin testers are overrated, here's why I stopped using one on the bench
I spent the last 8 months at a regional shop near Dallas chasing intermittent faults on Collins radios, and I finally ditched my pin tester for a good old fashioned wiggle test with a DMM on the harness. The pin tester kept giving me false confidence on a cracked solder joint that only showed up under vibration, which burned 3 days of troubleshooting on a 737 something. Anyone else find that leaning on those fancy testers just masks the real problem until you physically move the wires around?
